How to use your Telly remote
- Navigation: The circle in the middle of Telly remote allows you to navigate left/ right and the middle button will let you select something once you have navigated to it
- Controlling the Top vs. Bottom Screen: The button above and below the circle helps you select the top or bottom screen of your Telly to control it. If you press the button on the top of the circle, your Telly remote will control the top screen, if you press the button below the circle it will control the bottom screen. A helpful LED will also light up the screen your Telly remote is currently controlling!

Voice Commands: Make sure to try out the “Hey Telly” voice assistant by pressing the coral button on the top of Telly. Press and hold the coral button and state your command! Some of our favorites “Open Netflix”, “Set a timer”, “Open settings”! You can also activate the assistant by saying “Hey Telly” and then your command.
How to set up the 4K Android TV dongle
Every Telly includes a free 4K Android TV dongle in the box. It’s made and supported by Google, so setup is simple and streaming is seamless.
Once your 4K Android TV dongle is connected
- On your Telly remote press the input button (button with an arrow through a square)
- Select “Dongle R 4K”
- Your Dongle will ask you to pair the Dongle Remote (Remote with white circle in the middle)
- Now it will ask you your language of preference
- Next it will ask you if you have an Android Phone
- If Yes, select continue
- If No, select skip
- If skipped, you will now be asked to connect your Wifi
- Once connected to Wifi, you will be asked to log in via email
- Now you will be asked to accept the terms of service and optional features
- You will now be asked to select a display name for your Dongle
- The next step is to pre download apps into your Dongle and accept cookies
- On the following step will be asked to set up your remote.
- If you do decide to set up your remote, please select “Vizio” as your TV
- If you decide to skip the remote set up you will still be able to control your Telly and Dongle
- The final step will be to confirm the primary account for your Dongle

Telly combines a state-of-the-art 55” 4K HDR Theater Display with a second Smart Screen forming the first Dual Screen smart TV that goes way beyond streaming.
Telly’s Smart Screen brings all new experiences to your living room like video calling powered by Zoom, news, weather and sports updates, video games, a fitness studio and so much more. In addition, the Smart Screen houses all of your controls (i.e. input switching, settings, etc) without interrupting what you’re watching. And, it only gets smarter over time with frequent updates unlocking even more of its power. It’s not just TV, Telly is the new heartbeat of your home.
Widgets make it easy to stay connected to everything you love—sports, current events, favorite stocks, and up-to-date weather.
Setting up and interacting with the widgets
- Log into the Mobile App.
- Select the tab "My Telly."
- From here, you can add, update, or remove any of the following widgets:
- Weather
- Sports
- News
- Photos
- Finance
- After this, you can disable it anytime! Follow the same previous steps.
- To Show or Hide Game Scores in your Sports Widget:
- Open the specific Sports Widget you’d like to adjust.
- Tap Hide Game Scores (it will update to Scores Shown if you want to see scores).
What appears in the “watch” menu and how to add streaming/music apps to the menu
Your "watch" menu is a quick and easy way to get to your favorite streaming apps
While your Telly does not come with streaming apps, we include a free 4K Android TV dongle in the box. This is where your streaming apps live.
Once your Android TV dongle is set up, you can access your favorite apps directly from Telly’s Watch menu, no need to open the Android dongle home screen every time. The 4K Android TV dongle Telly provides, is the only streaming device that can add apps to the "watch" or "music" menus
- To add streaming apps to your "watch" menu:
- Open the Android TV dongle menu.
- Launch the streaming app you want to add.
- Navigate to your "watch" menu, the selected streaming app with appear there now.
Unlike the streaming apps, your Telly comes with two music apps: LiveOne and Spotify. If you would like to add any other music app to your "music" menu the same instructions as the streaming apps apply
- Open the Android TV dongle menu.
- Launch the music app you want to add.
- Navigate to your "music" menu, the selected streaming app with appear there now.

Here is how to get to the games menu:
- Press the input button on your Telly remote (Square with an arrow going through it)
- This will open the input menu on your Smart Screen
- Press up on the directional circle
- Scroll to the right and select "Game Room"

- Games that let your body control your actions

- Games that you can play on the Smart Screen

Telly isn’t just for watching—you can also fill any room with your favorite music using our state-of-the-art soundbar and some fantastic apps! Here are a few apps that come with your Telly to get you started.
- LiveOne: Enjoy free internet radio with hundreds of stations to choose from.
- Spotify: Access millions of songs with this popular digital music service (you’ll need an account to use it).
- Download your favorite music apps on your Android Dongle so it appears in the sound room
